파나소닉 MN1203(256-bit CMOS static RAM)은 꽤 널리 쓰인 IC인데 반도체 원판 자체가 잘못 제조되었다. 빈티지 튜너나 리시버에서 겪게 되는 간헐적, 지속적 메모리 불량의 주범은 이 IC일 가능성이 있다.
* 따로 확인해본 모델들 : Marantz ST-5/500/510, SR-8000, JVC T-X900L, Kenwood KT-500, KT-9X/XG/XL, Harman Kardon 680i, HK-1680, Philips AH109, … YAESU 프로 무전기에 이르기까지.
지금도 열심히 쓰고 있는 애지 중지 Kenwood KT-500 튜너의 경우 기록은 되지만 제대로 인출이 안된다. 몇 가지 실험을 해보았는데… 백업 전원의 높낮이에 따라 반응도가 그때 그때 달라지기도 한다. (3V 버튼-셀 사용조건이 그나마 낫다)

오호라! 같은 생각을 한 사람들이 있었다.
2014년 www. mfbfreaks.com이 소개한, ‘Microchip ATtiny461 Microcontroller 활용 MN1203 대체 키트’ 판매 사례를 아주 우연히 발견하게 되었다. 제품이 얼마나 팔렸는지는 몰라도 그들은 분명 진지하게 상용화를 진행했는데… 현 시점, 동 사이트 접속이 불가능한 것을 보면 사업활동을 중단한 것으로 보인다.
(Write 인지 → 핀으로 펄스를 읽고 → 그것을 내장 플레쉬롬에 기록한다. Read 인지 → 플래쉬롬에서 꺼내서 변환하여 전달)

MN1203 is a very bad, defective IC. So, it’s difficult to take long lasting and effective measures. But, you can try these below.
1) To check spot voltages after reading the following article. I thinks the web browser translates page texts written in Korean.

2) To get new one. It’s a simple answer but not good one since even the new one does not assure good operation. Statistically, 1 of 3 was bad. Furthermore, there might be no store in which you can buy it.
